Long-term projects / Tests
Egyptian Museum Project,

We have completed Chapter 4 on Egypt and the students will begin an individual project that includes a research paper and a visual prop to support their research subject. Each project will include:
Written report - needs to be typed
double spaced
size 12 font (font style may vary but must be clear and easy to read)
two pages in length
cover page, separate from the 2 page report
attached bibliography, with a minimum of three different resources, one of which needs to be a book - separate from the 2 page report
Oral report - needs to be 3-5 minutes
cover information on the research paper and the visual
DO NOT read directly from your report, use notecards if you need help, but the oral report is an overview of your work
Visual - You will create a model that supports your research topic, it must be relevant and show your knowledge of the topic. You may choose to make a model, you may also include a poster to help your display. If you are bringing in a food, please make sure it can be served at room temperature and be clear about the ingredients in the recipe so any students sampling it will be aware of any allergies. You may dress up as a character or to display the dress the ancient Egyptians would have worn, be aware that your display needs to be here to create the museum in the LRC.
Please choose from the following options:
- The Nile River - Pyramids
- Religion - Irrigation system
- Mummies - Boats
- War and weapons - Art
- Jewelry - Food
- Clothing - Everyday Life
- Egyptian Homes - Howard Carter
- Games and Toys - Pets
- Crowns - Cartouch
- Hieroglyphics - Native Animals
- Scribes - Egyptian Calendar
- Egyptian Medicine - Papyrus
- Pharaohs - Curses
- Sphinx - Magic
Please let me know if there is any topic not listed that you are interested in working on.
