Reading: Reading: Our story this week is Johnny Appleseed.  Our comprehension and vocabulary test will be Wednesday December 17th.    The next list of vocabulary and spelling words will be sent home when we return from Winter Break.

 

Vocabulary Words:  frontier, nearby, orchards, survive, tame, wild, sleep, rain country

 

Phonics/Spelling: Our phonics/spelling pattern for this week will be words that contain the “ ear” and “eer” pattern.  Our spelling test will also be Wednesday December 17th.

Grammar:  This week, students will learn how to identify and name the Days of the Week.

Math: This week we will look at the following skills:

·        Identifying lines of Symmetry/Creating a symmetrical design

·        Adding two digit numbers using dimes and pennies

 

Geography: This week students are responsible for completing week 15.  On Friday, we will review the questions for week 14, however, I will not send home a new geography lesson. 

Do not forget to send a $5.00 boy or girl gift by December 18th.  Please wrap the gift.  We will have our gift exchange on Friday, December 19th.
