Quotable Quotes:

"It is well to read everything of something, and something of+ everything."
 ~ Lord Henry P. Brougham ~

To read is to empower
To empower is to write
To write is to influence To Influence is to change
To change is to live.
~ Jane Evershed ~ More than a Tea Party

It is not enough to simply teach children to read; we have to give them something worth reading. Something that will stretch their imaginations- something that will help them make sense of their own lives and encourage them to reach out toward people whose lives are quite different from their own.
 ~ Katherine Paterson

“To learn to read is to light a fire; every syllable that is spelled out is a spark.” -Victor Hugo"

We shouldn't teach great books; we should teach a love of reading." - B. F. Skinner

"I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library." - Jorge Luis Borges

"A library should be like a pair of open arms."  -Roger Rosenblat

NOT YOUR GRANDMA'S LIBRARY ANYMORE! There's not so much shusshhing going on these days in Kelvin's Learning Resource Center.  We are a bustling, busy learning center that caters to the needs of our student population. Forgive us if we're a little loud sometimes, but you can count on the fact that there is always some learning going on - even if it looks like we're having "too much fun"!
