District 91 Finance Committee April 10, 2006
The District 91 Finance Committee met at 10:00 am on April 10, 2006 in the Superintendent's office.
Members Present: Marge Otis, Ann Lopez-Caneva, Mary Ann Murphy Members Absent: None Others Present: Donna Gray-Superintendent, Cheryl Wadsworth-Bookkeeper, Don Weber and Associate of PMA
PMA presented information on their financial services to the committee. The committee members were provided with samples of reports that would be included as a part of this service. After the presentation Mr. Weber and his associate, and Mrs. Wadsworth left the meeting.
The committee members discussed the possibility of setting up a web-based survey to determine what financial information community members would like to know more about. The purpose of the survey would be to help the committee narrow down their focus for the first State of the District report. The committee requested that the Superintendent discuss the feasibility of such a survey with the District web master and the contracted technology service group Prairie Technology Solutions. Information pertaining to this topic will be shared at the next scheduled Finance Committee meeting.
The Superintendent shared with the committee a draft of FY07 expenditures for FY07. The need for upgrading the District's student attendance and financial data software packages was discussed as well as planning for upgrading of computer labs and life-safety work. This initial working document will be updated and shared with the committee again in July during their next scheduled meeting.
