The Lockport School District 91 Board of Education has named Mrs. Dimitra Georganas as the next District Curriculum Coordinator. She joins the administrative team with 15 years of experience in education and most recently served as a Principal in the Lemont-Bromberek School District.
Mrs. Georganas has extensive experience across all grade levels ranging from preschool through adult education. She served as an Adjunct Professor at Concordia University, a Principal at Oakwood School, an Assistant Principal at Ridge Central Elementary School, a Math Coach, Interventionist and Teacher at Pleasantdale Middle School, and a Math Teacher at Lockport Township High School. Mrs. Georganas earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration and Supervision and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics Education from St. Xavier University. She lives in Willowbrook, IL with her husband, five children and two parents. “It is truly an honor to be given the opportunity to serve the community at District 91! I look forward to building strong relationships and collaborating with all stakeholders, working hand in hand with the dedicated staff and families to help students grow and learn to their best potential,” said Georganas. |
