Herbicides / Pesticides
Application Dates
As part of our “Integrated Pest Management Program”,
Lockport School District 91 will, as the weather permits, start applying
herbicides and pesticides to both of our properties. The dates for these
applications, weather permitting, will be March 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th,
24th, 25th, and 31st. Please be aware that applications will not be made
on all of these days, but due to the weather, all of these days are
possible.
The chemicals that we apply are similar to the ones
that you would use at home; i.e., Preen® for weed control in the
planting beds, and Roundup® for weed control along buildings, fence
lines etc. All applications are done by an Illinois Department of
Agriculture licensed applicator.
