Dear Lockport School District 91 Faculty, Staff, Families, and Community Members, It is an absolute honor and a privilege to write to you today as Superintendent of Lockport School District 91. During my first few weeks in this new role, my excitement to serve our district has only grown. Our team is already deeply engaged in preparing for the year ahead, and I am eager to connect with each of you as we build upon District 91’s strong foundation. Rooted in Our Community For 20 years, I have had the profound joy of being a member of this extraordinary learning community, as a resident, parent, and administrator. In 2006, well before I worked at Milne Grove, my husband, Ken, and I specifically chose this district to raise our sons, Sam and Alex. As we looked at homes around Lockport, we could not ignore the call of D91's Hornet pride! I will always be grateful for the dedicated educators who ensured our boys reached their academic potential while helping to shape their character and worldview. D91’s strong foundation provides all of us the opportunity to keep reaching further, because even great districts must constantly evolve. I am deeply committed to a mindset of continuous improvement while listening to all perspectives, supporting our educators, and working together to enhance the educational experience for every child and family in our community. Guided by Purpose Leadership transitions naturally invite us to reflect on our core purpose. My educational philosophy rests on a fundamental conviction: every student deserves a high-quality education that sparks their curiosity, cultivates their unique talents, and prepares them to thrive in an ever-changing world. Great schools are built on meaningful human connections. Because teaching and learning thrive on strong relationships, I am convinced that when we listen, communicate, and work together, our students achieve their highest potential.
