Veteran Steve Kost Interviewed by KG Student
U.S. Navy Seabee combat veteran and artist Steve Kost was recently interviewed by Lockport's Kelvin Grove School student Rebekah Ramirez for the Library of Congress' Veterans History Project. Mr. Kost served in NMCB 40 from 1991-1995 and was deployed to Rota, Spain, Guam, Mogadishu, Somalia, Saipan and Crete, Greece.
According to the Library of Congress, the "Veterans History Project of the American Folklife Center collects, preserves, and makes accessible the personal accounts of American war veterans so that future generations may hear directly from veterans and better understand the realities of war".
Veteran Kost's personal narrative is currently located on Milne-Kelvin Grove District's website at www.d91.net before it has a permanent place of honor on the Library of Congress’ website: https://www.loc.gov/vets/about.html
