Duties:
Teach middle school mathematics using a differentiated approach to various levels of learners. Assessing student progress and determining the need for additional reinforcement of adjustments to instructional plans/techniques/goals. Teaching specific learning objectives. Employing various teaching techniques, methods, and principles of learning to best meet the needs of students and district learning outcomes. Using appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning. Develop lesson plans that meet state standards, the eight mathematical practices, and school curriculum. Teacher assigned MTSS academic intervention groups throughout the year. Maintains a proper learning environment.
Qualifications:
Candidate must hold a valid Professional Educator License (PEL) through the State of Illinois with proper certification/endorsement to teach middle school mathematics.
Salary/Benefits:

- Completes reports and assessments and/or other evaluation tools for initial case studies, re-evaluations and problem-solving team.
- Collects and analyzes data for student progress.
- Observes students in the learning environment as requested.
- Meets with students individually and in small groups.
- Communicates with and supports guardians as needed.
- Assists in crisis intervention as requested.
- Assists teachers as a consultant regarding appropriate behavioral interventions and strategies for each tier.
- Participates in RTI/MTSS team meetings.
- Knowledgeable about community and mental health resources available to families outside of the school setting.
- Completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
- Facilitates and completes eligibility components as required by IDEA/504 Reviews, researches, and recommends scientifically based interventions.
- Other duties as assigned by the administration aligned to the purpose and function of this position.
