District 91 Strategic Goal Setting Committee
A variety of stakeholders representing the community, parents, and staff were invited by the District 91 Board of Education and administration to participate on the strategic goal setting committee. The committee met on March 9, 2013 with Jeffrey Cohn, representative of the Illinois Association of School Boards. The committee members worked to identify and articulate the core values of the district and develop a vision statement. The committee outlined areas that they felt are good in the district and with a little work could be great. They also identified areas that need immediate attention. From these two lists, the committee split into teams and identified potential goal areas and action steps to be included in the 2013‐2016 strategic plan. Administration took the goals and action steps and developed the tasks that must be completed and the timeline and resources needed to bring the goals to fruition. In addition, current mandated and risk management goals were added. This plan is contingent on the future financial and personnel resources of the district. If resources are not such that the plan can be implemented, the timeline will need to be extended. |
