Board meeting dates are posted on the district website and on Boardbook.
Agendas are posted prior to each meeting on Boardbook and minutes are posted online on BoardBook after they are approved by the Board of Education. Prior years are archived on separate web pages. Board meetings are held in the Kelvin Grove School Learning Resource Center at 808 Adams Street in Lockport unless otherwise indicated with meeting notice. Agendas contain procedures for the public to address the Board of Education. |
All Illinois school board members must receive training in professional development leadership (P.A. 97-8) and the Open Meetings Act (P.A. 97-504). Mandatory training will also be required after the new teacher evaluation requirements are implemented in each school district. Meetings of Board committees and work sessions are held to examine subjects in greater depth than is possible during business meetings. No action is taken by the Board at work sessions.
