The Lockport School District 91 Board of Education named Ms. Kathryn Flaherty as the next special education administrator for the upcoming 24-25 school year. Ms. Flaherty is looking forward to continuing her leadership in District 91 and is privileged and honored to uphold the District 91 vision and mission for all students.

Ms. Flaherty holds a bachelor's degree in special education (LBS1), a master's degree in Educational Leadership, and a Director’s Endorsement in Special Education. With over two decades of experience in education, encompassing kindergarten through eighth grade and early intervention, she brings a wealth of knowledge. Kate has gathered insights from both general and special education fields, offering a unique perspective on education. Her diverse background includes roles such as special education teacher, manager, diagnostician, MTSS coordinator, and most recently, Assistant Principal at Darien 61, working with students from preschool to 5th grade.

Ms. Flaherty is eager to to meet all of the students, families, teachers and employees that encompass the District 91 family!
